GET HAPPY is chockablock full of crowd-pleaser and thumb-snappers like our Kids Choir version of the Beatles classic “Ob-La-Di, Ob -La-Da” and a fierce rendering of Andy Frammee’s “Don’t Give Up On Me” by our Teens. The Adult Choir joins the fun with B.J.Thomas’ rollicking “Hooked on a Feeling”...with that iconic “ooga-chucka” backbeat. S&S also revels in big choral sings like Robert Lowry’s American Folk Classic “How Can I Keep From Singing.” Did we mention the smashing tribute to the blockbuster film score of The Greatest Showman with “From Now On,” “A Million Dreams” and a roof-raising “This is Me” guaranteed to bring down the house!
In its indelible style, S&S spotlights the remarkable work of local organizations, and this year we celebrate Home Base.
Home Base is a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen. We offer an achingly beautiful tribute to this worthy organization and in honor to our forever member, Brett Conaway, dedicating the beautiful Scottish air called “The Parting Glass” - sure to touch your hearts.
Get your holiday on when you unplug with Sound & Spirit’s holiday concert SNOW MUCH FUN! This intimate candlelight offering ushers in the holiday season with a stunning resetting of Ukranian folk tune “Carol of the Bells” and a gorgeous chorale sing of “Shalom Chaverim.” You’ll love the fun singalongs like “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and the riotous teen rendering of “Jingle Bells.” We deliver a sneak peek with The High Kings' “Parting Glass” and Manhattan Transfer’s “Java Jive” from our May concert "Get Happy." It's a one-way ticket to holiday fun! So, ditch the grinch and find some glee!
Sound & Spirit continued to bring cheer to our community even during the challenging times of Covid19! This year, we brought uplifting music to many local events such as Natick's Small Business Saturday, Natick's Holiday Stroll, and caroling at the Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center.

For our 13th concert, Sound & Spirit presents their special blend of alchemy with the big bang of a concert: "Come Alive!" our full length concert on March 15 (7pm), March 16 (3pm), and March 17 (3pm) at the Keiter Center at the Walnut Hill School in Natick. Sound & Spirit is performing their 11th concert on March 16(7pm), 17th (7pm) and 18th (3pm), hosted by Walnut Hill School for the Arts. “Around the World in 80 Minutes” will inspire and engage every generation just like our 110 members who range in age from 8 to 80+. From music to thoughtful choreography, through visual arts and the spoken word, the choir presents a show sure to stir the soul, invigorate the mind and animate the spirit as they sing their way across the globe. The concert spotlights songs of every genre and era, from Verdi’s “Anvil Chorus” to the Bollywood box office hit “Jai Ho” and including “You Will Be Found” from current Broadway smash musical, Dear Evan Hansen. The program features enlivening crowd pleasers like like Toto’s “Africa” and Shakira’s “Waka Waka” – not to mention the classic audience like “Eh Cumpari” and The Wild Rover’s “Donald, Where’s Your Troosers”. Sound & Spirit will also sing “Music Changes the World” they were recorded singing with Jim Papoulis to support the Foundation for Little Voices as it crosses cultural, generational and ideological boundaries to bring music to disadvantaged children. Sound & Spirit is delighted to share the stage with “SPARK Kindness”, a unique organization supporting communities through programming to build KIND and EMPOWERED communities. Sound & Spirit is performing their 10th concert on March 10 at 7pm, 11th at 7pm, and 12th at 3pm, hosted by Walnut Hill School for the Arts. “Rise” will inspire and engage every generation just like our 110 members who range in age from 8 to 80+. From music to thoughtful choreography, through visual arts and the spoken word, the choir presents a show sure to stir the soul, invigorate the mind and animate the spirit as they sing their way through rallying songs of revolution and perseverance, encouraging the spirit to RISE! The concert spotlights songs from the box office hit Hamilton and enlivening “message” songs like Shrek the Musical’s “Freak Flag” that boisterously proclaim “what makes us special, makes us strong”. The program features a wide variety of genres from Broadway to Choral songs and contemporary selections, that range from a large choral adaption of Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe called “Angele Dei” to Bob Dylan classic, “Blowin in the Wind” and bridging to contemporary reggae artist Matisyahu’s “One Day”. Invigorating numbers like “I Sing the Body Electric” and “Pride: In the Name of Love” as well as “Do You Hear the People Sing” will also inspire you and have you singing along. RISE sings its way though the historical struggle for freedom, equality and liberty, expressing a hope for an end of violence and the realization of a new era of peace and understanding.

Sound & Spirit, a intergenerational performance choir based in Natick, is excited to announce two performances at the Sorenson Center on Babson College's Wellesley campus on Saturday, June 4 at 7pm and Sunday, June 5 at 2 pm. “That's Entertainment” will delight every generation just like the 100 Sound & Spirit members, aged 8 to 90+ who make up the intergenerational performance choir. From music to thoughtful choreography and visual arts elements, the group pays homage to the entertainment industry with classic broadway tunes, catchy television theme songs, and a tribute to Mary Poppins. Featuring favorites like “One” and “Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat”; contemporary songs like “The Hanging Tree” and “Falling Slowly”; a trip down memory lane with a medley of television theme songs that will have you singing along; and a crowd-pleasing Disney tune performed by our youngest members, “I Just Can't Wait to be King.” We are also honored to highlight the great works of "Ben Speaks" as our charitable outreach feature.

Take a Journey through the Seasons with Sound & Spirit! “For Seasons” will delight every generation just like the 100 Sound & Spirit members, aged 8 to 80+, who make up the intergenerational performance choir. From music to thoughtful choreography and visual arts elements, the group takes the audience on a journey through the seasons - winter, spring, summer and fall. Featuring favorites like “Singing in the Rain” and “Summertime”; contemporary songs like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Wagon Wheel”; a large choral rendition of Vivaldi’s “Gloria”; and crowd-pleasing numbers from our teens and kids, “Summer Nights” from Grease and Frozen’s loveable snowman Olaf’s “In Summer.”

An American Journey” will delight every generation just like our 108 members who range in age from 8 to 80+. From music to thoughtful choreography and visual arts elements, the choir presents a show that will bring to life the joyful, tearful and triumphant stories of our country’s history as they sing their way across America. Featuring geographical numbers like “New York, New York” and “Good Morning Baltimore”; a rousing medley of soldier’s tunes; a story of a young girl’s hopes and dreams as she passes through Ellis Island; contemporary songs like Bruce Springsteen’s “My City of Ruins” and John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Little Pink Houses”; an epic guitar jam nod to John Denver; and a large choral rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic; “An American Journey” chronicles the historical struggle for freedom, equality, and liberty in the United States—a dream come true—while reminding us how much work remains to protect and extend that dream now and in the future.

"Go Light Your World” borrowed its inspiration from James Taylor’s“Shed a Little Light,” a song that honors Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr.—just in time for the holiday named for him. The performance was a fun ride from beginning to end for an audience of all ages with thoughtful choreography, moving naturally from a large choral sing, to a soulful solo, to a catchy kids’ tune, to an inspiring teen number."Go Light Your World" also featured Broadway hits from Hair and Godspell, classic rock from The Allman Brothers and Coldplay, pop music from “Glee” and Colby Collait, as well as throwbacks such as“Glow Worm” and “Would You Like to Swing on a Star.”

Sound & Spirit, TCAN's intergenerational choir, is performing a concert centered on the theme of "love." With popular music from today - "Some Nights" by FUN! and "Home" by American Idol Winner Philip Philips - and classics like "It's In His Kiss" and "Standing on the Corner" - as well as entertaining choreography - this concert will delight an audience
of all ages.
